Magento Testimonials installation instructions

Thank you for downloading our magento extension. Please follow these instructions to proceed with the installation of your theme:

Turn store compilation off:

Navigate to Admin -> Tools -> Compilation and deactivate compilation mode for your store.

Copy all files into your magento directory:

Simply copy all files from "extension source x.x.x" directory into your magento store directory.

Turn your magento cache off:

Navigate to Admin -> System -> Manage Cache and deactivate cache for your store. You can enable it after extension installation will be finished.

Refresh your admin user access rights:

Simply logout from your store admin and then login back.

Next steps
  1. Login to your store admin and log out.
  2. Navigate to System > Configuration > Templates-Master > Testimonials and enable extension for any store you need.
  3. Configure Testimonials module according to your needs.
That's all. Navigate to your store and check how your store looks.

Q: After clicking on "Submit" button to send my testimonial form, page throws an error saying: "PHP Fatal error: Class 'Mage_Tmcore_Helper_Data' not found in /home/artigoit/public_html/app/Mage.php on line 550" I dont' have any modules with Mage_Tmcore_Helper_Data class, I have installed only TM Testimonial extension. Can you help me? Do I have to install other modules? Your extension depends on other extensions?

Q: I want default image to be displayed when customer are not uploading any of their pic while submitting testimonials... how can we achieve that. There was one option as Delete in Image Placeholder, which i cant see anymore in my admin panel

    A: You should simply logout from admin and then login again in order to refresh your admin access rights.

    A: Such modification will require editing extension code. It isn't possible to do from extension config.

Q: Hello, after installing the module, if a user submits a testimonial it works but there is no sort of confirmation page or confirmation message letting them know their testimonial was received successfully. It just refreshes the submit testimonial page. How do we fix this?

    A: You should copy app\locale\en_US\TM_Testimonials.csv to app\locale\nl_NL\TM_Testimonials.csv and translate new file.

Q: I uploaded the extension from FTP and accessed the admin after that. We are getting following errors and the frontend and backend breaks when we access links to manage testimonials in admin.1. Base table or view not found: 1146 Table 'medicale_backup.medical_tm_testimonials_data' doesn't exist 2. "Mage registry key "_singleton/tmcore/observer" already exists" 3. Base table or view not found: 1146 Table 'medicale_backup.medical_tm_core_module' doesn't existCould you please help us in removing the bug.Thanks Arshad
