  I am trying to move this "New Product" block to just below the "Home Page" header and underneath some text at the top of the page. I have taken
  
  and changed to
  
  
  
  but it has not changed anything. I tried dumping cache and refreshing url but no luck. I went into the CMS pages and looked at the Home Page>Design and saw this
  
  <action
  
  Is this correct or where else besides app\design\frontend\default\default\layout\easycatalogimg.xml
  should I be looking?

    You should just enable it in admin and set products as new. All blocks will appear without any need to put any additional code.

  thanks for great extension...
  But we have little problem...
  After applying spotlight extension, we cant see add to cart button properly in slider...
  If any one has solution then plz suggest us..

  Hi,
  I'd like to show the new products in the right column instead of on the main content column. Isa there an easy way to do this? I think I have to alter the easyspotlight.xml, but don't know what code to alter (suspect homepage.wrapper.new)

    Yes you have to edit easyspotlight.xml and replace to

  OK, copied all the files to both the default and f001 directories flushed my cache enabled new products and still not seeing anything

    Please check what is your theme package. In case it's different from default then you should copy extension files into it.

  I can´t get it to work at the Homepage. All of the other work fine (it shows in category, product page), but my Homepage displays nothing. Any idea of what could be happening? It´d be great if there was a code I could force this module to work at the Homepage.

  I have the same problem. Everything works except the homepage. Followed the instructions and uploaded all to my templatefolders. I use the f001 template nad uploaded the files to all subfolders as well.
  If I enable all in backend it shows in catalog and productpages. But home stays empty.

  Is it possible to call homepage slider in cms page? we wish to use slider in out kiosk to automated slide new products. We dont want to create separated slides and use screensaver, better is to set default CMS page with slider. We can modify css of slider to fit the screen, but how to call spotlight of homepage in CMS?
  Best way is to create list.homepage.cms.phtml which will be used only for it, but how to call it..??

  need to add block in a cms page that will show all new product like on home page but in a cms page instead.
