Thank you!
Hello John, all this link are configured through xml layout files. Pleasetake a look for
<reference name="top.links">Can you please tell me how I remove the newsletter signup box from the footer, and put it in the left or right hand column. If you could provide step-by-step as well as locations to adjust. Your help is appreciated.
Hello Abbie, please remove newsletter code at app\design\frontend\default\f002\template\page\html\footer.phtml and delete app\design\frontend\default\f002\layout\newsletter.xml. It should work.
Thanks so much, what a lovely template. Could you please tell me how to change the default blue color at the header to another color to match my logo?
Thanks!
Keep up the good work!
Hello Brandon, we already have 10 colors ready. You can try to use any of this colors.
Thank you for a great magento theme!
That said I'd like to modify one thing - I have around 100 categories and this makes the category tree on the left of the home page extremely long. How can I easily modify the template to only show the first level of categories whilst retaining the entire tree in the menu? Is this something that's easily done?
Thanks again!
Hello GP, please change
menu.css (line 79)
#nav-sidebox ul.level1 { display:none;}to
#nav-sidebox ul.level0 {display:none;}Template Masters, thanks for the great free theme. I have 2 questions
1. How do I get the catalog/navigation/sidebar.phtml to show up in every 3 col page of the website(the way the col_left/right_callouts do)
specifically the product catalog pages(since I can already get it to appear in all of the static pages)
2. How do I move the search bar in your theme to the top of the page and to the right (or possible replacing) the "There is n item(s) in your cart"
Hello John,
#1.You should move next code from home page xml:
<block type="catalog/navigation" before="-" name="catalog.sidebar" template="catalog/navigation/sidebar.phtml"></block>
to catalog.xml file:
<default>
.....
<reference name="left">
#2. You can do this via CSS.
To all, I figured out how to get the catalog/navigation/sidebar.phtml to show up in every 3 col page of the website.
paste this:
just below this line: (line 51)
in the file:
app/design/frontend/default/f002/layout/catalog.xml
Just remember to remove the references to it in your static pages using the admin page (CMS > Manage Pages > yourpage > Custom Design > Layout Update XML) to prevent it from showing twice
the comment system scrubbed out the code, I guess since its inside the angle brackets. Let me see if I can coax it into showing. Replace the #'s with the appropriate angle bracket
paste this:
<block type="catalog/navigation" before="-" name="catalog.sidebar" template="catalog/navigation/sidebar.phtml"/>
just below this line: (line 51)
<reference name="left">
in the file:
app/design/frontend/default/f002/layout/catalog.xml
